Messy can be beautiful

Healing and growth aren't always pretty, they can hurt, they bring about humbling realisations, and they are the best way to lasting freedom.

The selves we create, sometimes purposely, sometimes without a full understanding of how or why, can be so deeply ingrained that we cannot accept when the mirror shows us that we are not who we think we are. And this denial can hinder so much.

Growth calls for us to take a step back in order to invest the time to explore our reactions.  Was it misplaced or over-the-top because of how we filtered it or was it in line with what was said or done?  What if the feedback I am getting is not because the other is wrong but because I was not right?

Healing asks, “Am I seeing things as they are or only as I am?”

And these steps and questions stay with us because healing and growth are a journey not a destination.

What should we shed? What should we hold on to?  How do we accept all parts of ourselves in order to flow in our purpose?  In order to shine?  How do we see and celebrate the beauty in the mess?

We choose grace, joy, and love.
