This page is used to inform visitors to this website about our policies on the collection, use, and disclosure of Personal Information for those who decide to book an appointment and to assent compliance with Barbados’ Data Protection Act 2019.


If you choose to use our Service, then you agree to the collection and use of information in relation to this policy. The Personal Information that we collect is used in providing the Service. We will not use or share your information with anyone except as described in this Privacy Policy.

The Listening Practice will undertake reasonable measures to maintain client confidentiality and to protect client information, in the rare case that a breach may occur clients will be notified immediately.  Clients are also required to inform The Listening Practice if they have been hacked or are the recipient of a cyber-attack so that The Listening Practice can assess the risk to its files.

Note that the virtual session may be recorded for notetaking and quality control purposes however any such recordings shall not be shared with others outside of The Listening Practice except required by an Order of the Courts of Barbados.  If an imminent threat to life has been shared, The Listening Practice will breach confidentiality to inform the relevant authorities.

Users agree that The Listening Practice is not liable for any third-party breaches e.g. e-payment provider Fygaro or session platform Zoom.  The Listening Practice does not collect financial information. 

Security

We value your trust in providing us with your Personal Information, thus we are striving to use commercially acceptable means of protecting it. But remember that no method of transmission over the internet, or method of electronic storage is 100% secure and reliable, and we cannot guarantee its absolute security. The Listening Practice will only be liable for gross negligence.

Children's Privacy

Our Services do not address anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal identifiable information from children under 18. In the case we discover that a child under 18 has provided us with personal information, we immediately delete this from our servers. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so that we will be able to undertake the necessary actions.

If The Listening Practice becomes aware of any instances of child abuse, a report will be made to the Barbados Child Care Board, the Barbados Police Service or both.

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. Thus, we advise you to review this page periodically for any changes. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page. These changes are effective immediately after they are posted on this page.
